Programs & Services
Our programs and services are available to older adults 55 years and up in Schenectady County. They are provided Free of Charge. Our programs are designed utilizing our Engagement Model (see model below). Our compassionate volunteers are screened, trained, and must pass background checks. Our organization is fully insured. Letters of reference available upon request.
SEAH Inc. is not licensed to provide medical, psychiatric, therapy or social work services.
Offerings of Hope Senior Experience Program
Program includes: (2 Hours)
- Senior engagement activities.
- Catered meals or refreshments with beverages.
- Socially engaging games.
- Gift give-a-ways.
- Brief satisfaction survey at the end of each event.
Program offered to:
- Independent senior living communities in Schenectady County.
- Assisted Living communities.
- Nursing Home Facilities.
- Veteran communities.
Senior Celebrations Program
Program includes:
- Honoring the legacy of older adult.
- Celebration of senior milestones and achievements.
- Showcasing senior talents and abilities.
- Senior social events.
- Genuine appreciation for our elderly population.
This program seeks opportunities to celebrate older adults in Schenectady County. It does so with the help of our partners, senior living referrals, senior organizations, health care providers, submission from older adults themselves and private citizens. Once discovered, the opportunity is reviewed with the Administrative Team of SEAH Inc. for consideration.
Connectiveness Matters Pop Up Event
Program includes:
- Enthusiastic volunteers that deliver something special to each participant.
- Introduction to our organization programs and services.
- A brief activity utilizing our Engagement Model.
- Genuine expression of appreciation for every older person in attendance.
Program offered to:
- Independent senior living communities.
- Assisted Living communities.
- Nursing Home Facilities.
- Veteran communities.
- Vendor events.
Coming Soon:
Friendly Calls and Home Visits Program
Program includes:
- 15–20-minute friendly engagement calls and or 45–60-minute friendly home visits that includes a social activity for a period of 8 weeks.
- Visits conducted outside of the home when older adult elects.
- Monitoring of food insecurities, personal care supplies and caregiver support.
- Brief survey prior to and after service period to measure impact.
Program offered to:
- Any senior in Schenectady County.
Food and Personal Care Home Delivery Service
Program includes:
- Grocery and or personal care supplies delivered to the home of an older adult.
Program offered to:
- Current participants in the Friendly Calls and Friendly Home Visits Program.
Referral and Advocacy Services
Program includes:
- Connecting older adults and or their caregivers with service providers when a need has been identified.
Program offered to:
- Current participants in the Friendly Calls and Friendly Home Visits Program.
